14-15 June 2014 NGS
We decided to open our ' Pleasure Grounds' as the gardens were described as part of the National Garden Scheme (NGS), which supports 9 charities including Macmillan Cancer Support and Marie Curie Cancer Care. Over Saturday and Sunday , June 14 and 15 (2014) we had over 500 visitors and raised £ 2052.50 for the charity. Profits from tea and cakes sale went to the local Young Epilepsy on St Piers Lane. 9-10 May 2015 NGS
More than £1700 was raised for good causes when we opened our gardens on May 9 and 10 this year as part of the National Garden Scheme for the second consecutive year. We raised £1325 for the NGS and £377 from the sale of teas and cakes for St Catherine's Hospice in Crawley. We are very grateful to all our volunteers for the successful weekend.
20 September 2015 - Autumn Leaves Jazz event St Catherine's Hospice
On Sunday , 20 September 2015 we are opening our grounds from 2-5.30 pm to raise money for St Catherine's Hospice . The Jazz event called - Autumn Leaves . It will include 1930s-1960s Jazz from Momentum 3-4.30pm.
Entrance £10 per adult (on the gate). Tea and cakes available.
We were so delighted with the weather and raised net £505 for St Catherine's Hospice. We are very grateful to all our volunteers.
We opened our grounds in 2016 on the following dates :
NGS - 7 May and 8 May from 2 - 5.30 pm . Entrance £5 per adult on the gate ( kids free) . Tea and cakes available.
We raised £1481.41 for the NGS, contributing to their support for various nursing and cancer charities. From the sale of teas and cakes we also raised £472.45 for St Catherine's Hospice in Crawley. We would like to thanks once more all our helpers for their kind support.
Bloomin Arts Theatre Company (charity ) - 31 July . 'Shakespeare Through the Garden at The Garth'
Entrance 2pm and till 5pm, homemade tea and cakes , programme starts 3pm, the tickets will be sold at the gates @ £10 per adult ( concessions £5 -details will be at the gates). Shakespeare Through the GardenBloomin'Arts Theatre Company is delighted to announce their celebration of the works of Shakespeare through the beautiful gardens of the Garth, Lingfield . In 1 hour, 10 plays , 32 characters, 62 deaths and a little audience participation. Mr William Shakespeare will lead an Elizabethan promenade around the magnificent Garth grounds . Along the way we will meet characters from his works, Hamlet, King Lear, the witches from Macbeth , Romeo and Juliet and a flutter of Fairies.
The performance was a great success on a beautiful sunny day, much enjoyed by our visitors. Altogether £350 was raised from tickets, refreshments and a raffle. We wish to thank Patricia and Frances from Bloomin' Arts for their hard work organising the day and Bob from Barge Tiles who once more kindly allowed us to use his car park.
Our personal thanks also go to the performers for their flowers and card.

NGS open days are on Saturday and Sunday -13 May and 14 May from 2pm till 5.30 pm. Entrance £5 on the gates (kids free). Tea and cakes available.
We would like to thank all our volunteers for their support. We managed to raise £1105 for the NGS and the total profit of £508.85 from the sale of tea and cakes went to St Catherine's Hospice in Crawley.

We opened our gardens for the NGS in 2018 on 5 and 6 May and for St Catherine's Hospice on Saturday 30 June and on Sunday 1 July.
We are very grateful to all our volunteers and family who helped us for both events. The lovely weather helped to attract visitors. As before we would like to thank Barge Tiles for allowing us to use their car park. We raised £1295 this year for the NGS and the total of £710.64 went to St Catherine's Hospice.
We opened our gardens for the NGS in 2019 on 5 May and 12 May.
We managed to raise £1130 for the NGS and £535 for St Catherine's Hospice in Crawley. We are very grateful to Barge Tiles for their car park and to all volunteers who helped us with open days.
We will not be opening the grounds in 2020 following emergiency goverment guidlines due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Please check the NGS website for any news on future open garden dates.
We opened our grounds in 2021 to the public for the NGS on Sundays - 2 May and 9 May (2-6pm). During our open days we raised £924 for the NGS and £170 went to to St Cathrine's Hospice in Crawley. We would like to thank Barge Tiles and Community News for their support
We opened our gardens for the NGS on 1 & 8 of May 2022. We had 134 paying visitors and raised £941 for the NGS on both days and profits from tea and cakes sales of £ 305.48 went to St Catherine's Hospice in Crawley. We are very grateful to our family members and volunteers who helped us on those days as well as to Barge Tiles for their parking.
As part of the Historic Houses Scheme ( free for HH members) on the following dates in 2022:
from 2 May till 7 May; from 16 May till 29 May; from 5 June till 12 June (1pm till 5pm on all dates);
The tickets are £7 pp with half price for children up to 12 years of age.
We opened for a week in December 2022 for our Christmas Special and we were happy to see the visitors who came in spite of the cold wintry weather and snow. We managed to raise £565.70 for MIND, the mental health charity.
Open Days at The Garth for 2023 .
We are planning to open our grounds at the Garth for the NGS in 2023 on 30 April (Sunday) and on 7 May (Sunday) from 1-5 pm and on 17 December (Sunday) 1pm -4.30 pm
We will also be opening our grounds to the public as part of the Historic Houses scheme (free for HH members) 1st - 6th May, 8th-14th May
Opening Times for all days are from 1-5pm except on 17 December for our Christmas Special we will be open
from 1-4.30pm.
Admission on all open days in May 2023 are - for adults £8; children up to the age of 12 - are half price on HH days or by donation on the NGS days . On 17 December the admission for adults is £10 and £5 for kids (5-12).
Profits from the sale of cakes, tea and coffee will be in aid of MIND, the mental health charity.
